It's a good thing that that's exactly the standard for defamation suits relating to public figures.
People intentionally say Hillary is the high priestess of moloch and drinks the blood of infants but even that kind of slanderous language has ZERO standing in court. Why? She is a politician.

Why?
Some guy with no history comes on here and posts something that both sides say is completely false, and puts it on another outlet as well (Twitter).
I don't know Louisiana defamation law, but that sounds like the makings of actual malice, particularly if the poster turns out to have had an axe to grind with Falconer (which seems pretty likely).

The SLU professor has standing for libel. Falconer does not.

Interesting. Mr. Falconer seems like a real piece of work. The creators of that hit ad should have mentioned that he also stole Adam Sandler's girlfriend.
