Congratulations to the parents who drag their kids to all of these meaningless tournaments so they have something to post about on FB and use dumb hashtags like #TourneyLife or #GetWorkDone. Dont forget to use the window chalk to let people who couldn't possibly give less of a shite know about your snot nosed brats athletic competition.

screw you man. You don't know the year round sacrifice that us travel ball parents make, going to all those tournaments, paying for tommy john surgeries, etc. All so we can pray the whole time that junior will get noticed by a scout and get a ticket to The Show.

Luckily hes got a good mentor, me. shite I'd probably be in the big leagues right now but I blew out my shoulder

Do they have a tournament in Lafayette this weekend?

Yeah, some of the other age groups play in Broussard and Youngsville.

There were so many grown men in uniform I thought it was some kind of semi pro adult league

Or one of those weird man softball teams

We played all year in a community league and went 13-0 two years ago. About 30 minutes prior to our first playoff game the umps come and make us lay all our bats out, they threw 5 of them out.

We were like WTF, we've been using them all year.

This crap is ridiculous, like a 10 yr old benefits from a hot bat.

That's because all the white kids have to play baseball since the little Mexican kids destroy them in soccer.

These kids play some soccer down in Houma. I'm personally impressed

I just love the fact that youngsville and Broussard spent all that money on those sports complexes then the teams stay/eat/drink in Lafayette and we get all the tax benefits

It’s more about safety. You don’t want a 10 year old pitcher taking a line drive to the eye socket because of a hot bat.

If it’s Cal Ripken all star, coaches wear the uniform like most baseball.

The BlackHawks. frick yea they play good ball over there. Played them in a finals last year and lost in PKs, though they were better than us all-around.

We have U13 this year, and we'll see what the big clubs throw out there. The Fire, Mandeville...will field much better teams than they did for U12. The BlackHawks have been very competitive so far, top 2-3 team in LA, and I expect they will continue to be since they knock the ball around so well.

We're more of a kick ball team, so it'll be more difficult for us.

Just getting home after a long day at the East Bank Bridge Park in Destrehan. Thurs beat Kenner 8-3, Friday beat Madisonville 15-5,11am this morning beat St James 8-2, they won their way to the championship game to play us again at 6 pm and we won 19-0 in 4 innings.
The umpires came and check us twice today for illegal bats because our kids were HITTING. Accusations by Madisonville while they watched our morning game. No illegal bats used.
and in 7 years those kids will be losing in high school to those same kids

Asian families have it right. Instead of having their kids practice sports, they do extra math homework. The small chance of being a pro athlete is far outweighed by the good prospects of working hard and being a doctor, scientist, engineer, etc
