Meh, it should be legal but I'm not too wound up about a trashy AF vice.

LOL at you thinking this is why La dropped the ball on this.

Yup, I went to the slipper and made a ton. So win for LA

Sorry we couldn’t help split families apart due to degenerate gambling.

There was no legitimate argument made that didn’t evoke God or stupid shite like...

This is also what holds us back. If people want to engage in a vice, what business is it of yours?

If you are that fricking bent out shape about it move to Mississippi.
Problem solved.
Some people will bitch about any damn thing.

Personally, I think more people should be bent out of shape over restrictions enforced upon us, especially when we’re broke as frick.
But don’t worry, instead of making sports betting legal, they’ll just raise your property tax.
The irony is that I don’t, nor probably ever will bet on sports. But I can’t see a legitimate reason elected officials should deny me that opportunity, especially when I can cross state lines and spend money there instead.

The Baptists Ok'd dockside gambling back '92 or whatever because they wanted the money. They take a ton of that casino money up into northern MS while still playing that religious angle. Coast has the Catholic tradition.
It's why after Katrina they legalized moving inland so quickly and why this got passed quickly too
Money talks and bullshite walks. In this case, their supposed moral compasses.

Yes he could move to Mississippi. Or he could expect Louisiana to not be a nanny state. Why are you so ambivalent about freedom?

You’re acting like we would have seen the monetary benefits of sports gambling.
That influx of money would squandered before you could spell, “Mississippii.”

THIS - Remember when the casino money was going to be used to fix the education system and roads.
What A Joke - the citizens get f'ed while the fat cats party

The Louisiana Family Forum says hello. They actively lobby against sports gambling and anything else fun because Jesus said so.

What? I'm pretty sure Mississippi is just as religious as La. What a dumb comment.

Your phone autocorrects "corrupt politicians paid off by the casino industry" to "Bible"?
