Call Pizza Hut and get her in trouble.
I delivered pizza all three big Pizza chains and we would have been fired immediately for stupid shite like that. She gets that fricking tip, plus a fee per delivery(~$2). But she will tell you she does not get the "delivery fee"(that's a good one).
She also makes at least minimum wage If not $1 more.

I tip 20 percent on everything and 5-10 dollars in cash.

Sounds like you have never worked on tips or taken groceries to an old lady's car for her.

Share the wealth when you can. You don't know that delivery person's story. At some point someone will be taking care of you. Karma will come back to bite you in the arse. That delivery person may be your underpaid home health nurse that is working 2 jobs to raise her kids because their father got hit by a felon drunk driver.

You’re not the only one the disgruntled chick is giving a hard time to tonight. You’re likely one of many feeling a little paranoid. If something happens you’ll know how to find her.

I almost always tip 20% when it’s warranted, but there’s one problem with your rational. Tipping is not intended for you to make their life better. It was designed as a reward for excellent service, and encourage excellent service within the service industry. None of that which she demonstrated is in keeping with that with her attitude, and so that should never be rewarded or it devalues the whole point of tipping in the first place.

I'm sure a young person trying to go to school, or a single mother, or even a retired person supplementing their income appreciates you greatly

You could easily afford $15-20 cash.

I call a spade a spade. It’s a rental property that’s vacant at the moment. In transition. It was actually our first home so staying here out of nostalgia while some things are getting fixed up. Like camping out per se.

It insinuates they get whatever you tip them in pre pay I guess. LINK

But they don't get paid any gas bonus.

She was probably meaning her $16 an hour -if she gets all of her tips from PH-and she gets at least 4 delivery calls per shift-- is not paying for her gasoline bill. But the overall price of a pepperoni pizza being $25 plus- should compensate PH to compensate her a little better.

Decent troll attempt but you (OP) overplayed your hand. But lots of idiots fell for it, so it provided some entertainment.

While I appreciate your input you clearly know nothing about how delivery services work or how they get paid or what cut they get of the tip or how they pay for gas. Sooo I appreciate your input and it is okay to be ignorant. These cats also have hidden expenses like wear and tear on their car. They aren't driving a company vehicle.

Some of them are also promised bonuses based on reviews. Well the drivers are beholden to how well the restaurant is efficient. They often take all the criticism for shite that is out of their control.

yeah that church troll gave it away but I still played.

it cracks me up how many posters don't even read the OP before comment.

I think OP knew if it turned into porn with a hot chick no strings. Or his customer from geico ins. giving him a big arse gallon of ranch dressing with sex; no one would have bought it.

I know that tipping was not designed to supplement income or even some playing field, but to encourage excellent service. That’s what I do know, and I am right, not because I came up with it, but because that’s why it was first implemented.

If you perform your job excellently, then you should by all rights be tipped properly, but if you pop off at the mouth and have a bad attitude, don’t expect to be rewarded because you showed up for work today and need more money. Perform, and be rewarded for it. Don’t perform, and learn life’s hard lessons. You’ll soon learn to do better, or you won’t make it, and maybe then you’ll learn, or not. Sir this is Pizza Hut. I called for a pizza, not to supplement income or put up with a mouthy delivery driver. Thanks.

Seeing this pop up here way too much. The answer to this is F that. I don't carry cash so Im not tipping cash. Not my responsibility to help them dodge taxes.

I really hate that ppl tell others to tip in cash.
