Concert Tickets through Ticketmaster

So I tried to get Lady Gaga tickets for the wife and I for Dallas in December this morning. Today was the earliest pre-sale advertised through Ticketmaster. Was on the website when they went live and, surprise, no tickets available. But, they're all over Stubhub for ridiculous prices.
How can a regular guy with a credit card get decent tickets to a popular concert tour like this these days, without going through the secondary markets?

Amex platinum or whatever the CITI and equivalent cards are, use their concierge and pre buy them

I got tickets for Willie Nelson and Dwight Yokum off of Ticketmaster and they had been on sale for quite a while. Maybe it's just the most popular acts?

I've always hated this about Ticketmaster. There has to be a way to limit so many tickets being sold to scalpers.

Do the scalpers use a computer program to buy large blocks the second they go on sale or do they pre-buy somehow?

There's a site you can sign up for and get presale codes for any concert. When I saw The Rolling Stones you just needed a American Express card.

Day of show through ticket master. All unused tickets from the outlets get put back into the machine the day of.
