Anyone else deep down really concerned about surviving the Stay At Home Period? Even as an introvert the idea of essentially not leaving my house/neighborhood for 2 weeks is pretty horrifying to me.

My anxiety is through the roof and I don't know if I can do. It's only been a week and a half and I'm already going stir crazy. I live in the Tampa area and I'm considering getting on the road tomorrow before the Shelter In Place goes into affect. I might just drive around the south (outside of Louisiana and Arkansas, lol) and wing it, staying at random hotels each night for a few days or a week.I'm just really worried that if I Shelter In Place for 2 weeks I won't make it. I'm already fragile mentally (suffer from general anxiety disorder and I believe occasional depression as well) and I'm worried I'll mentally fall apart.

Besides, they say 2 weeks, but who knows. It could end up being 2 months.

Anyone else really concerned about how the Shelter In Place is going to affect them mentally?

I think you don’t understand what a shelter in place is. You’re not locked in your house.

You need to drive to a state where you can get some weed baw. Take that edge off.

Not really. I can play video games, drink beer, beat off, and watch Netflix for however long the shelter in place is.

I can understand this being worrying though. Talk to someone if you need help. There are hotlines set up to talk about things like this. If you're worried, reach out.

Just ignore it. You have to get groceries and medicine. Parks are still open. Get out and get some sun and fresh air

This. If your state has already shut everything down, and I'm pretty sure FL has, then a "shelter in place" order is very little different.
No one will come to lock you in your house and hold you there against your will. Chill, breathe, and get a drink or smoke a joint. It will not be nearly as bad as you believe.

Not a half bad idea. I've thought about it.

No, I haven't left my house in 6 days and I'm pretty damn happy.

Do you have a wife and two little kids in your home ALL THE TIME? No?

Then quit complaining.

I'm an introvert so this doesn't bother me at all. My anxiety comes from what this is doing to the economy, whether or not these shelter in place orders are even necessary, and whether they'll be lifted in a logically appropriate manner.

With my job working from home really isn't an option. While I'm still getting paid at this point I think it's only a matter of time before I'm furloughed.

Just put it in historical perspective. From an being inconvenienced standpoint, a bad day for us would have been a great day for most of the people that lived before us.
