Complete idiot on Wheel of Fortune just now

First, it's couples wheel of fortune so at the beginning of the first round when the players introduce themselves, this guy is giving us the story of how he and his wife met. He says that they met and 7 days later he asked her to marry him. They got married 3 months later and then 3 months after that they had their first child. At first I let it slide thinking maybe he just misspoke.
But then he comes through with this gem. He and his wife win one of the prize rounds. The puzzle was "Gondola Ride Through Venice." Ole Pat asks them if they know where they are going. Our beloved idiot screams out "Paris!!!" His wife looks at him in bewilderment. He quickly realized his mistake and corrects himself, "France!!!" he screams.
After that I'm no longer sure that his original introduction was a mistake. I think he really may not know that his child is not his.

Poor guy is raising someone else's kid and his wife will probably send him to Venice, CA with the kid while her and the baby daddy go on the trip to Venice.

I've seen this episode before. It's an old one. And yes, it was the most pathetic thing anyone has ever said on television. I felt bad for the wife realizing he has a retarded, piece of shite husband.

It's even worse than you described. Pat asked "What country do you think we're sending you to?" Old boy says with confidence, "Paris!" He changed it France after everyone laughed.
