Employer is tight with everything. Instructs management and supervision to question all purchases. Does not upgrade, just bandages on everything and refuses to embrace technology. It’s time to get off the boat because the water is seeping in.

Been there a couple times. The signs for me were company events no longer happening (covid was the blame but then the events never happened once we were back to normal) and executives stop communicating in person. No more town halls, just emails every now and then.

Sorry you got laid off from your job at the local Wendy’s when they closed, baw.

I bet Burger King will pick you up and be willing to negotiate a few more cents on your wage.

Sounds like a typical, half-arse small business.

Poor vision, likely losing marketshare.

This is why we poop on company time.

Could be. Sudden secrecy and expense control could mean a few things, including an imminent sale.

Which isn’t necessarily always a bad thing. If the company you work for is run like dumpster fire barbecue then it could be the best thing you experience in your role there.

It’s normal for companies to say to get sales or deals closed by the end of the quarter. But whenever they 1.5x or double commissions to get deals closed by the end of a quarter, that could be an indicator.

I'm sure you would know, help the guy out and get him on at your location.

Could be that, or maybe company finances are just bad. In either case I would suspect the possibility of lay offs.

If you are publicly traded you can verify the financial part, if not then who TF knows?

Can you get me on at McDonald’s instead? As your manager.
