Good God.

If indeed these people you describe exist, they should be the ones put out (and subsequently make the effort to see who they need to see). Now, if you or others haven't an abode with which to properly host your shindig, then suck it up or don't show up (at their place or places).

Listen to what you’re saying. You’re advising those who don’t want to go to four Xmases to host four Xmases.

The problem is that there are more than two Xmases in question. Those responsible for the increase in that number should suck it up but want their kids to do it. Typical.

Xmas is Christmas. X is the Greek letter Chi, which short for the Greek word ???st?? (Christ). You would know that, but too many ignorant people have taken the Christ out of Xmas.

I always forget that Greek letters don't show up here.

incorrect, alter

ETA: The "X" comes from the Greek letter Chi, which is the first letter of the Greek word Christós (???st??), which became Christ in English. The suffix -mas is from the Latin-derived Old English word for Mass.

Christmas was pretty exhausting and I’m not married, and my parents aren’t divorced. In a row I had:
1. Office potluck
2. Get together with Mom’s siblings and their kids
3. Get together with dad’s siblings and their kids
4. Christmas Eve get together with my immediate family plus brother’s wife’s parents.
5. My Parents came to my house Christmas Day
6. Friends get together party between Christmas and New Years

In case any heads of state from Middle Eastern countries are reading this thread, above is the kind of problem you get to have if you treat women and gays like human beings.

So your kids have 4 sets of grandparents to dote on and love them and your solution is to keep them away?
