Ortiz still suffers from shoulder issues and difficulty sleeping. To date, he says he’s racked up $40,000 in medical bills.
I'm sure the difficulty sleeping has nothing to do with the huge layer of fat around his neck blocking his breathing at night.

Perhaps he should consider this before he tries to drive his car through a flood.

Rightfully so. Someone saved your dumbass from natural selection and you sue them. Hopefully his house catches fire and the fire department comes and just sets up chairs on the sidewalk

The silver lining in this story is that even if the first responders would have known this outcome, they still would have sacrificed themselves to save this fat worthless piece of shite.

apparently this happens in china a lot, people who rescue others get sued by the person who they are trying to help, and supposedly this leads to a lot of people who are left injured and dying in plane sight

Can someone explain how people get trapped in their cars in flood waters? Does the water come down the street like a wall or gradually rise?

He can't afford his bills due to his money going to pizza, donuts, ice cream and beer.

Idiots ignore warnings to stay off the words.

Idiots ignore signs that say "high water"

Idiots ignore water over road

Idiots drive through high water and get stranded.

I've been working for the same company for 17 years, I'm co-pastor of a church in Aurora.

OK, so Mr. Brilliant doesn't have insurance through his company after 17 years of service with said company? If so, then there is NO WAY IN HELL he has $40,000 in medical bills piled up. Even a crappy policy has some kind of cap.

Also, if he does have insurance and swears he has $40,000 in medical bills, then he's a freakin' liar. Nice going there, Mr. Co-Pastor.

This guy's a pile of crap.

Yet many people always assume the insurance companies are the bad guys and they are greedy for wanting tort reform.

And the legal term for that mistake is negligence.”

I think most reasonable Americans realize that, but what can we even do about it at this point? It seems like the people who only care about themselves and all the possible handouts they can get their hands on far outweigh the people who want what is best for this country. Let's not even begin to talk about the growing population of reasonably well educated and well off citizens who encourage those who want to take advantage of the system,.
