Its freaky, you can hear them but never know where they are. I don't think I've heard of any breaking into people's camps.
Im not sure we have any in this area but I figure theyd be plenty busy with deer and elk to worry about camps.
Id welcome them to thin the deer herds in my area.

Elk aren;t just gonna stand around and get eaten. They're equipped to survive most wolf attacks, they'll be mostly subject to culling the weak the sick and the old.
Well that’s about as disingenuous as you can get. Wolves are apex predators. While elk aren’t gonna “stand around”, they aren’t gonna fare well when attacked by a pack. And wolves won’t just be scavenging the weak and old. They’re gonna go after calves as well- elk and beef cattle. The elk herds will suffer from this whether you want to admit it or not. And I won’t blame any rancher who kills a wolf that threatens his stock. frick a wolf when it comes to someone’s livelihood.

How come the King Soopers in Castle Rock has wine?

Pretty sure I owned this shirt back in high school. If not, it was very similar

Even in texas, which might have some of the most backwards alcohol laws, you can buy wine at gas stations and grocery stores.

Might hurt small liquor stores and craft breweries or something?
Yeah that's the reason given. I'm not sure how true it is.

IDK, voted yes for the booze in stores and was shocked it didnt pass.
I was shocked that weed in Colo Spgs didn't pass. This is probably the only city in CO that doesn't have recreational MJ.

During LSU Baseball season, for midweek games, I'll often pick this up from the Valero by my work on the way to Alex Box:
*25 oz Bud Light
*Link of Boudin
*Pint of Vodka

This is a good thing. They are good for the ecosystem and their population needs to be built back up. I'm a pretty big hunter, but idiotic hunters and campers to a degree think this is a bad thing. Wolves actually help move elk and deer around which is better for elk and deer hunters, vegetation and certain habitats. In the early 1900's thee was pretty much a wolves massacre because people were so stupid they thought they were a huge danger. There is a really really good Criminal Podcast episode on wolves that will give you a new perspective on how good it is to have wolves in the wild. Wyoming is so stupid it is still legal to hunt wolves there.

Well we voted to reintroduce wolves last year, which as a frequent camper I find insane.
In the past 20 years there has been one fatal wolf attack in the US. Your chances of getting attacked by a wolf is pretty much zero even if you lived in the woods, much less a camper. Their instinct is to run, not attack. And you're not going to be stumbling across some sleeping wolf on your hiking trail or campsite.

Meh. nature takes care of these things. If Wolves were such efficient killers Elk would be extinct by now.

yellowstone is doing the same thing (with the wolves that is)
apparently wolves were pretty much wiped out in that area from ranchers and such

IIRC, the wolf “reintroduction” mainly was about shifting $800k from current programs to the wolf program. There were no new tax dollars which means something lost out.
I voted against because the wolves were doing fine on their own.
Re: mushrooms… mushrooms are the new weed. People are very casual about taking it and it’s very prevalent. I get the slippery slope aspect, but I don’t see the big deal.
Liquor/wine issues… I voted no. I’d rather keep that profit in the hands of the curated bottle shops that I enjoy so they can continue to offer what I like. If the trade off is I can’t buy wine at a grocery store, I’m ok with that.

Prop 125 had the potential to put a lot of mom and pop liquor stores out of business. That's why I voted against it.
The wolves thing has been ongoing for several years. I was talking to a game warden last year during a license check on my elk hunt and we discussed it briefly. Wolves have been re-entering Colorado for several years through western Wyoming and northern Utah. This just keeps people from killing them at will. I don't agree with it, but all the cruchtards in Boulder do. Once enough cattle ranchers lose stock due to it and that lobby gets really involved, it will go away.
Psychedelics are awesome.

Alcohol kills substantially more people per year, both directly and indirectly, than weed and pyschs combined.
I wouldn't personally vote against the sale of any of them, but just pointing that out.

The northern yellowstone elk herd was over 20K strong and after wolves were reintroduced it went down to less than 2500.
Man altering nature quickly never turns out well. Elk herds will take years to adapt, breeding, calling grounds, bugling etc will have to change or they become sitting ducks. That doesn't change in a year or even 5.
This will have significant impacts to their wildlife and fisheries funding. Oh, and wolf kill for fun. They don't stop after they kill the first calf. They go until they are done with the calves.
Just like politics, massive pendulum swings in nature typically result in a massive unwanted result.
