That propofol though. That's some good sleep. As for the prep. You may just figure out that you're doing it the hard way (pun intended) some day. Or not.

Colonoscopy prepping

My doctor had me do the Miralax pills and dulcolax pills prep and it went extremely smooth.

I was worried that it would be horrible but it wasn't.

Sutab is the answer.

This. Got a discount coupon from the doc. 24 pills total. Take 12 and drink three 16 bottles of water after each. Do it 4-6 hours apart. Cottonelle wet wipes. Just had mine done. Worst part was the starvation.

5 years ago we had the 2 bottles of fruit punch oily tasting crap. NASTY

Yeah, I had it done 5 years ago and my prescription came with a jug. Fill with water and drink about 3/4’s gallon starting the day before. Wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t very pleasant either.

3 polyp’s found at 41 so another one scheduled in the next month or so. Fun fun.

I had a colon resection done 2 years ago and went through several colonoscopies within a 6 mos period. They weren't bad at all and knock you the frick out the day of the procedure.

No he's right. It's frickin bullshite you can't get it covered until a certain age or proven colon cancer/issues in your family tree.
Insurance companies suck colonoscopy butthole.

Of course not. This is mostly about money. He makes nothing if patients choose not to get one.

I've had 2 colonoscopies in my life and hated the prep needed. The last one I had was 18 months ago and the Drs. off called a year later to say he wanted to schedule another one even though nothing serious was found on the last one.

I told them to go pound sand. I'm going to be 70 in a few months time and I doubt another one is on my list of "Thing To Do" anytime soon.

That crap they give you to squirt the day away is some foul stuff and if you don't puke forcing it down, it will do it's work.

SUTAB is the way to go. 12 Pills the night before followed by water then 12 pills in the morning followed by more water. Procedure itself is a piece of cake. Found cancer in me the first time at 51. Found mine early enough to take care of it quickly. Get this done at 45 guys. Don't be hardheaded about this.

I am 39 and just got one done for symptoms reasons. (Clear bill of health, oddly)

I just chugged that disgusting shite in 2 goes (chased it with a soft drink). The hunger was easy enough to deal with. It was chugging sea water the next morning that made me so so so thirsty I about decided to ruin my test time to drink water. The thirst in the morning was by far the worst part to me.

I had a colonoscopy done on February 2nd. I'm currently on my 12th day of 28 days of chemoradiation. After that is finished, 4 to 6 weeks for my body to recover and then surgery to remove the tumor.

Don't be a hardheaded baw, deal with a little discomfort and get your colonoscopy.
