Look, you serm like a normsl-type guy, but if I was a doctor and you were my patient, I would fire you immediately.

Your opinion is not even accurate enough to debate.

Walk through an imfusion center and watch people deal with chemo, maybe your "opinion" will change.

The link you posted is a blog post.

It is not a peer reviewed, scholarly article written by an unbiased third party.

Colon cancer is one of the most preventable, treatable cancers when caught early. Ffs just go get a colonoscopy.

If I had not had a colonoscopy when I turned 50...my Stage 2 malignant tumor would have jot been discovered and no telling how far further advanced in growth...and I may not be here today, nearly 13 years later.

I had NO symptoms...but the scope was recommended because I had reached "that age". It saved my life, I'm convinced.

Literally just scheduled one. I do it for the 24 hour laxative of life experience. Really nothing beats shriveling up like a raisin.

And removing the aggressive precursor cells part is a bonus.

Polyps form in the colon in damaged, inflamed areas of low circulation and/or heavy metals buildup. When bloodflow is reduced, polyps form as a type of swelling that happens in a typical wound. This swelling signals angiogenesis to help new blood vessels form to restore oxygen to the region to help with local tissue repair. Just like if you were to sprain an ankle,
This is completely made up nonsense. Don't get medical advice from a random blogger.

I just turned 37, and I have had a few instances of blood in my stool the last couple of years. I am pretty sure its just from hemorrhoids, but I have an appointment with a gastro next month, he'll probably recommend me getting a colonoscopy, so I guess I'll get one.

Might be the dumbest shite I’ve read this year. Colonoscopies are near guaranteed way to detect and treat colon cancer. Or you can go without and when your tumor is so large it obstructs your guy, I hope you enjoy shitting in your colostomy bag.

I'm being cited article after article about how colonoscopies are not only not necessary, but are in fact more likely to cause harm than not.
how do they cause harm?

quote:

I can equally find articles that touts the benefits of them.
I'm not naive enough to think all medical procedures are 100% safe and are all beneficial.
I also am aware of alternate screenings for colon cancer that involve blood tests, etc.
Note: I have a scheduled colonoscopy upcoming and this is my second.
My first one 6 years ago showed i had a few polyps, thus the need to followup with this one.
I inquired to the doctor (who is set to make money off the colonoscopy) about alternative screenings and he informed me that since I had polyps found in the past, that a colonoscopy is my only real option now.

Thoughts?
my mother, her mother and my grand father on my dad's side all died from colon cancer.....

Its been discussed that if they all had more routine colonoscopies they might not have died in their 60s.

had my first screening at 40... wll have one every 3 years now....

I have had 2 colonoscopies, one time with an upper endoscopy too. No real issue with either. The only thing I suggest you do if you have the upper endoscopy too is that you ask them to do the mouth access first if they gonna use the same tube for bkth. (:)

No one's forcing you to get one, so don't.
