not really

I actually agree with Darh that what happened in Waco was fricked up and wrong.

So when he said

quote:

Political correctness ends at the terminal gate.

I simply pointed out that is a hypocritical view and if that's how we are going to play everything Waco PD was in the right to profile all the bikers that got arrested.

if he was removed from the plane there's quite a bit more to this story than what we've seen here, it's not something that the airline wants to do, but if, in when they were getting info from him due to another passengers concern, he got defensive, verbally abusive, or made anything thing that could remotely be perceived as a threat, it was game over for him, and it would have zero to do with the language he was speaking

are you seriously suggesting that it should be against the rules to speak Arabic on a plane?

Nah, frick a Scientologist brah.

Really though, the point is that the odds of getting hurt by a Muslim are pretty damn low in this country.

shite that happens mostly in war torn ME countries should not dictate how one feels about Muslims who are from the US.

BTW, this just happened today....

Investigators hunt for clues after Jerusalem bus bombing

Police probing whether bomber among the wounded; Jerusalem mayor says blast caused by small explosive device on bus; Hamas calls attack ‘natural response to Israeli crimes’

And remember the Islamic terrorists attacks in Belgium from a couple weeks ago? You know, the one's that happened right after they caught the ringleader of the Islmaic terrorist group that did the Paris attack jsut a few months ago? Well, the Muslims in Belgium took to the streets it appears to show the West where they stand on the issue of Islamic terrorism....

Muslims in Belgium 'dance in the street' following terrorist attacks, claims Interior Minister

And speaking of the Paris attacks, the Muslims also made sure to help the cops arrest the terrorists....

quote:

He accused Muslim residents of the Brussels suburb of Molenbeek of attacking police during an operation last month to arrest Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam.

“They threw stones and bottles at police and press during the arrest of Salah Abdeslam. This is the real problem," he said, according to AFP.

If that were the case, wouldn't they want to let this information be known, in an effort to justify their decision?

All they would have to say is that the guy was hostile towards the airline staff.

and none of that is here man.

again, its not an "almost daily" occurrence for that stuff to happen in non ME countries.

I'm sorry but if you want to say "PC stops at the plane gate for Muslims" that can be tossed right back in your face when it comes to bikers.

I'm sorry that bothers you so much but its true.

I mean shite, should I be worried people of Serbian decent are plotting to kill me in a genocide b/c I'm not their ethnicity?

The non-terrorists or the terrorists need to wear identifiers so that we know which ones to be concerned about and which ones we don't GAF about.

One of the two needs a scarlet letter something though.

Once again with the absurd biker/Muslim bullshite comparison. Is that really the best argument you've got? I just cited two major terrorist attacks in Europe in just the last few months. Don't think they can happen here? Come on. But here, I'll tell you what. You don't think terrorist attacks happen here? Let's just look at what has happened right here in the US since 9/11...

2002
February–October 2002 - John Allen Muhammad's sniper attacks, including the Beltway sniper attacks. 16 dead, 9 injured.
July 4, 2002 - 2002 Los Angeles International Airport shooting. 2 dead 4 injured

2009
United States June 1, 2009 – 2009 Little Rock recruiting office shooting by Abdulhakim Muhajid Muhammad. 1 killed and 1 injured
November 5, 2009 – Fort Hood shooting, at Fort Hood near Killeen, Texas. 13 dead, 33 injured.

2013
April 15, 2013 – Boston Marathon bombings. Two brothers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnev, planted two bombs near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. The blast killed 3 and injured 183 others

2014
October 23, 2014 – Zale H. Thomson, also known as Zaim Farouq Abdul-Malik, attacked four New York policemen in the subway with a hatchet, severely injuring one in the back of the head and injuring another policeman in the arm before being shot to death by the remaining officers, who also shot a civilian

2015
May 3, 2015 – Two gunmen attacked the Curtis Culwell Center during a 'Draw Muhammad' cartoon art exhibit in Garland, Texas . 2 dead (perpetrators) 1 injured
July 16, 2015 - 2015 Chattanooga shootings
December 2, 2015 – In the 2015 San Bernardino attack, two people, one of whom posted on Facebook an "oath of allegiance" to the leader of ISIL, shot and killed 14 people and injured 21 others in a killing spree that the FBI was investigating as "act of terrorism"

LINK

And that's jsut the one's they were able to pull off. There's been a lot more plots that thankfully were prevented, 73 of them in fact. LINK

No doubt muslim "phobia" has clouded peoples judgement but hell, after 911 I definitely noticed a couple of middle eastern gents speaking in their own tongue on a flight, and thought about the possibilities. It's human nature.

I never said it cant happen here.

I said its just not likely anyone will get hurt by them.

Those aren't daily occurrences and you are just straight lying to yourself if you don't believe there are motorcycle clubs committing crime every day.

Again, you are the one that said "PC stops at the gate" and if that's your stance then Waco PD was 100% right to swarm that restaurant when a large group of bikers, many with criminal records, showed up en masse.

Of course.

But Darth wants to have it both ways and I'm telling him he can't.

You really have no clue how stupid it makes you look trying to draw some moral equivalency between bikers and Islamic terrorists so you?

Are there bikers who break the law every day? Yep. I'm sure there are. You could say that about every group of people. There are college students who break the law every day. There are cops who break the law every day. But how many of these groups are on a continuing basis repeatedly trying to kill large numbers of people? There's only one group of people on this planet who are doing this, and it sure ain't a bunch of bikers.

Well, they made their own bed, now enjoy it. You know, if a cop pulls me over, and I'm not sure why, I'm still not going to quickly reach into my pants to pull my wallet out. He might think I'm going for a gun instead of my wallet. Same thing here, people who speak Arabic are the one's who hijack planes, so maybe when you're on a fricking plane, you try to be as open as possible about the things you do. Maybe make that phone call when you land next time.

Life is hard, but it's harder if you're stupid.

I guess I don't understand why so many young people in the U.S. refuse to admit that Islam is an enemy of the state and a threat to our way of life

Good for Southwest. Maybe if Muslims actually acted like they are against terrorism they wouldn't be stereotyped. But they don't, so I could care less that this dude had to catch a different flight. Go call Obama.
