About damn time. Colleges are not investigative institutions. If a crime happened, police should be involved. Not universities.

this is a big deal - not a total solution but a return to at least some form of due process

Seems pretty solid, unfortunately it will get torn to shreds by the liberal media. If the document makes it to release, the comment process will reduce the impact to zero.

The best part is that the evidentiary standard has to be the same for all inquiries.
So, if you want "preponderance of the evidence" (50% plus grain of sand) for your sexual assault star chamber, then that has to be your standard for things like faculty or administrative misconduct, etc.
Hoisted in their own petard.

As Owlie always says “But just suck a thousand strangers’ cocks at glory holes and everyone calls you a committed Rice Fan.”

Yeah this was allowed to turn into legalized witch hunts where innocent people were being destroyed

Google the title of the article. The slant is already occurring

It’s a step in the right direction... but really the university shouldn’t be making any decisions. Any allegations should be referred to the police and the legal system should be allowed to run its course.
The only thing the university should possibly do is remove both students from their shared courses and require the professors to provide them with independent coursework.
Once the actual authorities have made a determination of guilt or innocence, then the university can act accordingly.

I know of a student who was suspended immediately for "sexual misconduct" even though the woman had sex with him in the "woman on top" position and was sober.
By the time the initial decision was reversed by the school, it was too late to salvage the semester and he had to go to another school.

Obama started this kangaroo court bullchit with the "Dear Colleagues" letter. It's one of the worst things the man did while President. Colleges should be in the business of teaching, not investigating crimes.
