LINK

Link takes you to map of Katrina's "path" in Louisiana and South Mississippi. Each "square" on that map takes you to a "sub-map" which contains a bunch of smaller squares. Each square takes you to a satellite photo (NOAA) for that area. Click the photo once, and it "zooms" for you to look around.

It's pretty amazing.

I put this up because it was suggested in the other thread. It is pretty interesting to see the level of destruction in areas other than New Orleans (although, the photos of the flooding there are impressive).

The standalone Google Earth program has aerials from right after. You can even see helicopters and boats carrying people out. Much easier to navigate than OP's link.

I remember looking at these as they came out and telling my MIL, aunt, and grandmother over the phone that their houses were gone. Not damaged. Gone.
