May be reflux. Check into a wedge. It was a life saver for us.

I couldn't sleep worth a shite for the six months of my son's life, but it wasn't because of colic. I was scared to death of SIDS.

You probably won't be able to adjust her sleep schedule much, but you can adjust yours. And maybe you and your wife can swap nights, so at least one of you is getting SOME sleep.

Do not accept "colic" as a diagnosis that cannot be cured. There is a reason baby is crying.

Prob gas pains or reflux.

There is not always a reason why they are gassy. We took our son to several doctors and had all kinds of ct scans and xrays. Nothing was ever found. Colic is real, don't try to downplay it.

Just FYI, in <5% of infants with colic an organic cause is found.

Our pediatrician pretty much told us colic is bullshite. Babies cry. Their mushy little brains have a hard time dealing with everything.

Colic is treated as a general term. It basically means "little bastard won't shutup and I can't figure out why".

I agree with the <5...I didn't mean it was ALL bullshite. Just most times there is a gastro issue.
It's helpful to not dismiss and dig deeper in case you are missing an easy fix.

Pretty much. Babies have been around since...well...just since.

They have been crying, mewling little predator attractors since then.
That's why we stayed in caves.

It isn't the immunizations or titty milk or any of that. It's just vulnerable, weak little shite factories doing what they do best. Demanding our attention until a bear the size of a school bus has us for dinner.

You've got that right.

I got out of bed at 1 a.m. and raked my whole yard (several oak and pecan trees) because I was so frustrated by his relentless inconsolable crying.

It was a win-win-win for me, my boy, my yard.
