If I'm about to cut the grass, I'll get in for 5 minutes before I start. Makes the heat so much more bearable.

Come 3-4 o'clock and I've hit a wall, I'll hop in, dunk myself under and get right back out and I'm ready to go!!

Hungover? Get in all the way, dunk your head. If you want to stay in for a minute or two, fine but you don't have to. It will zap a hangover in a second. The worse the hangover the longer you probably need to stay in.

It's nature's reset button for life. It's the best investment I've gotten in a long time.

Obviously it's great for recovery, etc... but it's great for so many other things, It sucks getting in but it puts me in such a great mood after I get out.

To test it out, grab two 16 lb bags of ice, dump in your bathtub and fill it up. Good way to start before you decide to spend the money on one.

Any medical evidence for this? Sounds great if you have the courage to do it! As a senior citizen, don't know if it may be good or bad for me. Doing yard work is getting harder.

I’m not from south of I-10, so as an adult male I’m too tall for a normal bathtub.

Andrew Huberman who's a Stamford professor does a lot of talks of cold plunge and saunas. He does A LOT of extensive talks on it.

Locust Fork in the afternoon.

( 4th day of paddling this week )

Around three hours of soaking, paddling from shade to shade, and general loafing off should do.

Lots of science on it and it’s very good for most people.

Contrast therapy of sauna and cold plunge changes my entire day for the better. It’s a miracle.

We have one and it’s the best!! My wife and I get in together in the afternoons. We do 3 minutes 4 times a week. Buying one for our camp for the weekends.

You can start with some semi "trial runs" by turning your shower to the coldest possible setting at the end of your shower.

Not as cold as cold plunge but still gives me a dopamine rush.

I think I’d rather spend $12k on a built in unit that I never use and then the compressor breaks in a year.

Thanks for the advice though.

Oh it's going to suck getting in, period. Getting out and how you feel afterwards is the part you are looking for.

Best way to deal with heat is to get used to the heat. Your body increases your plasma supply to make your sweat and capillaries work more efficiently in cooling your body.
