So do V8's. They just dont make sense.

My 07 Mustang picked up .3 in the 1/8 with nothing but a JLT cold air kit and a tune. Isn't loud at all and the tune really helped the throttle response in the drive by wire. It has an air box that seals off against the hood is why it's quieter I assume.

That is about the equivalent of driver reaction, right?

E.T doesn't factor in reaction time. I made 6-8 passes stock then returned with the tune and CAI. Weather and track conditions were similar.

To each their own. I hate the whine.

Driver reaction might be a misnomer on my part. Driver ineptitude, or experience.

Main problem I have with CAI’s are the cost. $400 for a decently built one to gain basically no power. Spend the same amount or $200 more for a tune you’d be better off. Think cars have evolved past the intake being a choke point.
I just picked up an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sport and have been browsing the forums, guy with basically a stage 1 kit (CAI/tune/exhaust) managed a 13.8 or 13.9 1/4 mile. That’s like $2700 in parts. Think mine will stay stock. Not really designed to be a rocket ship anyway.

But superchargers just sound so much better.
In my youth, I ran cars with 6-71 and 8-71 screws which produce the epitome of blower music but I can do without it now, I just want the power. The best engine sounds come from overbore V8s with a flat plane crank revving above 8K outside of that I am happy with a load of space under the torque trace.

How much did your trap change?

Just did a search a few hours ago looking for a used one. Beautiful cars. One day I might have to pull the trigger.

The driver broke his back (for the 7th time). Below is the entire video.
I was under the impression Kenny Powers was a winner, not a loser like Hot Rod.

I just missed out on the really good lease deals, but did okay nonetheless. Had to get out of a half ton truck bc I just moved to the city. That’s the excuse I used anyway. That said, late last year they were practically giving Alfa’s away.
Car is incredible though. Mine is dark gray with the 19” Quadrifoglio rims red calipers and the black out package. I stare at it a lot.
ETA: give it another 6 months or a year and some of those 2017/18 leases should be coming up on the used market.

I honestly don't remember the MPH as this was 6 years ago and I don't know where my slips are. This is my second 07 though and my best pass with both was within .01 of each other stock. I have a Bama tune from American Racing in my current one which has 3 tunes. Daily driver, performance, and race. DD tune picked up .2 and race tune another .1.
Most of the performance is from the tune as it's tuned for 93 now. Others who did the same mods reported 25-30 RWHP gains.

Yeah, have become smitten with them. Make no logical sense for me to own one, but it is an Alfa in America...can't help it.
