You are ate up with fake fights....I'm more interested in programs....90% of Cody's programs in AEW were shite. I couldn't care less about high spots between the ropes....that doesn't mean shite and Brock Lesnar saying the same means something.
You’re an E drone of course you don’t watch wrestling for in ring performance.

You telling me that Savage never carried Hogan...Hart never carried Stone Cold...Hogan never carried Warrior (as crazy as that sounds)....Styles never carried Omos....Cole never carried pretty much everyone he's wrestled so far in AEW.....It's not a solo act but you can always tell who is carrying the match.
I split Cody matches and Cody programs in my original post . Your response was about Brodie and others carrying Cody programs(even The Rock loves Cody promos). Now you’ve moved your goalpost to carrying matches…which is funny considering your own lack of interest.
Cody did excellent work in AEW save one feud with QT and Ogogo.
My guy, you have 316 in your handle, you’re a Fed shill forever. And it’s fine, enjoy what you like, but when Cody shows up after Maina you’re going to pop like a madman. He’ll suddenly be good again, like Drew or Lashley to the Universe, and according to reports WWE is pounding their chest at being able to get Cody Rhodes back in the fold.
Now if they let him book, they might be interesting again.

I hope so…..if he does what he did in AEW he won’t be. If he does what he did in WWE during his first run he won’t be.
I have my serious doubts he’ll be good in WWE assuming he goes there…..he is a bland character and he doesn’t have what Lashley has where bland is kind of OK because the physique masks it.

No doubt…..it’s the first AEW to WWE defection (assuming that happens)….and it is one of the first 4 AEW originals.
I mean AEW rolls out the red carpet for every signing from WWE

In ring performance matters but it’s a well distant second to overall entertainment value.

CM Punk's rumored salary is $3 million. That's the same amount Kevin Owens re-signed for. Tony Khan talks a lot but he's not paying up.

I think Cody is going for 3-3.5 if I had to guess but Alvarez is saying 5 million isn’t out of the question.

I’ve literally called stone cold Steve Austin the greatest wrestler of all time in this very thread.lol

he is a bland character
As mentioned, The Rock tweets about him.
He was bland in WWE & he bet on himself and legitimately changed the landscape of pro wrestling.
Undesirable to Undeniable is more than catch phrase for that guy.
And WWE is lacking stars aside from the part timers. They buried their roster & Cody booked himself into a corner. Now he’s walking in as a Star. And if he’s getting the type of money that’s being speculated, he’s going to win some high profile events.
If he’s at Elimination Chamber he can absolutely headline Mania.

I’m not expert, but I don’t find him to be that good on the mic, especially with that lisp.

If it's on tv, it's a work.

Cody is very smart so he may be trying to make a Brian Pillman style worked shoot out of this.
Yeah I agree w/this.

They say the EVPs have been on great terms for about a year.

I think Cody wanted a big contract and TK wasn’t willing to pay it. There was a story back a while ago that Tony had pulled some of Cody’s EVP privileges. He wasn’t making many big decisions.
Cody has an opportunity to make some big money if he negotiates the right deal. They’re not gonna sign him to huge money and then bury him. AEW will be fine and I think within the next couple years The Bucks and Omega will be gone as well.

There’s no way in hell Vince McMahon is going to let Cody Rhodes headline Wrestlemania. He will hold him down just because he can. The man bought ECW, put it on the SyFy network and made himself ECW champion while wearing a do-rag.
The only way Cody Rhodes is on a wrestlemania card is if he is dressed in polka dots putting over Hornswoggle.

Putting Cody vs Lashley at WM is a perfect way to jump start Raw over the 3 million views at least for a show or too.
Cody might be booed by AEW fans but he has a ton of goodwill built up. shite, his last match in AEW he put over the first guy he faced on Dynamite. That’s quite a way to go out.
Now WWE diehards will both pop for him as victory over AEW and boo him for betraying Fed in the first place. But he’ll be in prime
position, in a better spot than Styles went into in 16.
shite Google Cody Rhodes right now. ESPN, the New York Post, TMZ covered this story. He’s a star. Only haters deny it.
