Coach fired for making bully run a few laps

A Connecticut volunteer football coach for players in fourth through sixth grade has been fired for punishing a child for allegedly bullying one of his teammates by making him run laps, according WTNH.

It could go either way honestly. Nowadays frickin everything is bullying cause kids are pussies and would rather tell on someone then stand up for themselves but on the other hand you can't punish them for anything cause "they're just kids"......before it didn't matter if you did anything or not if the coach tells you to run laps cause he thinks you did something you'd run the laps and then it'd b over

The kid that got punished for bullying is no doubt the son of a board member or very prominent booster in the community. Whoever it is got a hold of members of the board and threatened to pull back donations to the league if the coach wasnt fired.

Exactly even if you didn't do anything just run the damn laps.....knowing shitty kids these days he probably tried to say something back to the coach regarding not having done anything wrong and that just pissed the coach off more which resulted in more running

My high school football coach used to tell us all the time, "Football ain't for everybody, that's why there's a band too". He used to hand out weekly arse whippings with a weight belt to the kids who were tardy, skipped class, or caused trouble. Needless to say we had a pretty disciplined football team.

at practice the day after a loss due to missed free throws, our coach made us get into small groups around each goal in the gym and shoot free throws in sets of 10, he walked around with a belt and for every missed free throw in each set he would make us bend over and grab our ankles and give us a lash for each miss, didn't really hurt but it was in view of the cheerleaders and dance team that were working out in the foyer of the gym, he did it to try and humiliate us, fun times!

This is why you make the whole team run laps. The kids will deal with it themselves.

dunno,he had a pretty hot wife, but of all of the coaches I had, I remember him as the biggest a-hole of all, and I hate his guts to this day, he was a defensive coach on the football team and I was a safety so I have lots of unpleasant memories of that a-hole, I take great pleasure in the fact that I make in one month what it took him a year to make(when he was working)
