2008-2012 - Bush economy
2012-2020 - Obama economy
2020-present - Trump economy

Possibly.

Everyone may be equal but some are more equal than others.

More of the “two legged” animals tend to be Dem, with some pretending to walk on fours and be GOP.

Well the rate increases aren’t working. Inflation isn’t slowing and it appears to be increasing with speed.
Now Maria Bartiromo is reporting that the fed is trying to increase unemployment.
Sounds like the fed is trying to fix a scratch by administering a gun shot .

I'll at least hand it to the democrats in that they want to tax the shite out of everyone to help pay for all the shite they want to implement (even though it won't cover the costs), but the Republicans want to do the same shite without taxing people for it.

Huh? Are you claiming the supply chain is causing inflation?

Inflation and supply chain disruptions are related, but only because they share many of the same causes. Shutdowns, followed by free money, followed by increased demand because of a trillion dollars of government money injected into the economy.

What subdivisions?

The DH Horton / DSLD subdivisions run on Rural Development loans which require $0 down and closing rolled into the loan.

Developers will get paid and the government will be left holding the bag, meaning us, unless people’s approvals start getting shot down due to insufficient finances.

Horton and DSLD are a bunch of them with a few other developers thrown in. 1800sqft houses with almost no yard and front garage going for $350-$400k all day long. And they're selling them. It's insane.

I think it is more that Democrats want to tax production whereas Republicans are more apt to tax consumption, this isn't 100% but when people make more money they will typically consume more therefore paying more in but what the hell do I know?

I hope nobody needs a house in the next few years.

These rate hikes will bring down housing prices, which were out of control. And if you have cash you're going to be less affected by the rates. Third, if given the choice between low rates/high price vs high rates/low price, you generally want the latter as that rate can be brought down via refi. Once you've bought the house the price you paid will never come down (as many who bought the last few years are about to painfully learn).

Sounding like we have at least 36 months of pure economic hell before we turn the corner based on his statement on the "very premature to think about pausing" and "it will take resolve and patience to get inflation down".

Biden's hard-line stance on getting rid of fossil fuels overnight what is causing this inflation. The GOP better sweep the Senate and House because unless we can get energy back the cost of goods will only continue to increase.

The US is currently producing more crude oil than any other country in the world, so not sure Biden's stance really made much of a difference to US producers
