It’s not like the American government had anything to do with that or anything.

And lol at the prospect of the Cleveland Indians being some type of preservation of Native American culture.

It's about time. Not a fan of the new name, but Native Americans are the only group that still has to put up with being a caricature. And it's not just white progressives pushing for this. Native Americans have been demanding an end to Redskins, Chiefs and Indians for decades.

It’s fricking insulting when you group all Native Americans together. A very obvious way to show you don’t know shite.

And you’re wrong, a small group of fricking grievance hustlers from NY that aren’t even federally recognized as a tribe saw an opportunity to enrich themselves financially over this and have been pushing this with the help of white progressives.

ETA:

Don’t just downvote like a pussy. Explain to me why you think the EBCI is the same as Crow for example and why you expect them to think alike. Come on, little proggie, don’t run. Show us your vast knowledge and understanding of native cultures.

They had a golden opportunity to chose the historic name Spiders, but sadly, just as racism, homophobia, and transphobia still exist, so does arachnophobia.

I live around many of them. You're wrong.
quote:

Nine in 10 Native Americans say they are not offended by the Washington Redskins name, according to a new Washington Post poll that shows how few ordinary Indians have been persuaded by a national movement to change the football team’s moniker.

And they changed it anyway to placate white people.

You're a white progressive who believes everything other white progressives tell you to believe, and most of it is wrong.

Should have just changed it to the Engines (with a V8 as the mascot) of the Indians (dot, not feather).

The distance between the G/wings is too small for a baseball of that diameter to fit unless it's flattened out like a pancake. That's why it looks fricky.

The only place we’ll find them represented is in history books, and once kids graduate, they’ll never give them a second thought.

Well done.

The latte sipping crowd will pat themselves on the back for this job well done; they FINALLY solved the indigenous problem.
