Even if you think this is a bad idea (and it is not), what is the problem with offering it? It is not indoctrination. You think 18 year olds can be indoctrinated?

I'll devil's advocate that one. Math, English and most basic courses are mandatory because a respectable University can't have its name shite on by alumni who can't add or write. So you could make the argument that it does all alumni a disservice if you have a racist alum. But that really doesn't hold water because nobody ever quit using racial slurs because of a mandatory class freshman year.

I graduated in 2014 and feel like I just barely got out ahead of this BS. It wouldn't surprise me to see something like this at LSU in the next 3 years. I am hoping that pendulum swings back soon.
