This is pretty offensive if you think about it. There is so much more to Southern North America than just Mexico. I mean, would you call a restaurant featuring Northern North American cuisine "Canadian food?" No, you wouldn't, because that would be grouping all Northern North Americans into a single, possibly offensive name. My wife and I love Southern North American cuisine, but I'll be damned if we call it Mexican food, because there is more to Southern North American than just Mexico.

Sounds like my day.
