Does anyone have any advice on where to find decent Civil War-era artifacts? I am looking to expand my collection.

I am looking for weaponry, confederate currency, etc.

I'm betting the goodwills and junk stores might see an uptick as a lot of people overreact and try to cleanse their houses.

Most rural southern towns are running a special on statues right now.

Looks like you can get some cool statues if you just follow the mob and then wait for them to leave

Get a metal detector and go hit the bluffs in Vicksburg. Watch out for rattlesnakes.

If you're willing to drive to Kennesaw, Ga there is a store called Wildman's that he sells CW memorabilia out of. Better hurry as they're trying to get his store closed.

Wildman's

Dude is an absolute racist loon who literally believes he is Stonewall Jackson reincarnated but his shop is incredible. Last time I saw him he didn’t look so well and the store is kind of an unorganized ‘garage sale’ of sorts but he’s got some incredible and rare relics and books

Yes. I have an old boot with a foot in it from an actual soldier. Also one of them big guns... Yeah a Gatlin gun.. My roommate is always shooting that thing and blasted away a hole in the sheet rock and took down a lot of the forest. That's why we're in so much trouble.

If this is a serious question, here is a serious answer:

If you're going to buy, and you want to buy quality and/or expensive items, only do so from reputable dealers who have a good track record. It will cost you more, but you will know what you buy is authentic. There are huge numbers of reproduction items and outright fake items in that market. Some stuff is easy to spot, others can and have fooled even experts. Despite what the country is doing, there is a huge market for any Civil War memorabilia, and I don't see that market going away anytime soon.

I know people who dig shells and cannon balls. I just don`t have the permission they have on the properties.

My husband has this a gatling gun...He is looking to get rid of it because the police are always around because they say it’s unlawful for him to blow the Gatling gun off in the back of the house.

and he’s got cannons. One of them is not really put together and one of them is a beautiful.. it’s big – on the 4th of July he blows that off. When he blows that off, all the windows in the neighborhood shake.

thats why we have to get rid of it becasue we are in so much trouble with the authorities

PM me, you can have whatever you like because I told you he is already in enough trouble with the police. One day I feared he was going to turn the Gatling gun on them.

He’s crazy. He’s a fool. He’s a war-time hero fool. You got to be very, very careful with those guns. They make me very scary.
