Pretty interesting stuff. Just google the neighborhood + city + citydata (ex. Broadmoor Baton Rouge citydata) and you'll get the info. Some surprises from New Orleans are Treme (almost not majority black anymore) and Tall Timbers (77% black now).

Property values in Algiers (outside of Algiers Point) seem to be lower than anywhere else in the city.

I was under the impression everyone used city data maps when they were choosing where to move.
Those maps are so handy. Can filter by income level, population, race, marital status, etc.

Can you dial it down into more specific neighborhoods? I checked out mine, and it includes some areas that aren't really in my neighborhood.

Yeah, I think the website's data for "Tall Timbers" includes the area surrounding the gated neighborhood too.

Or are the Mexican restaurants located in Watson because there are Hispanics that live there?

SQL_QUERY=90% white, 10% hispanic for contractors, pupusas and micheladas.

Thanks Katrina. No seriously. The flood of Mexicans and Mexican Americans who came to help rebuild Nola after Katrina have since settled in areas between Baton Rouge and Nola/North Shore.
The Tex Mex and Authentic Mexican options have flourished as a result.

I think the racial data is still from 2010 and won’t be updated until the 2020 census numbers drop, but there are other ways to estimate race
