Celebratory gunfire on New Year’s Eve or any other holiday is illegal and dangerous.
“The intention may be a celebratory shot toward the sky, but the consequences of that moment can be disastrous for a neighbor or someone blocks away, causing injury or death,” the city said in a news release on Friday.

Found a .45 slug in the BWW parking lot outside of North Gate on the 1st one year. Nose was completely flat. Some bottoms dwelling hi-point got loosed.

I was with a large group at a co-worker's apartment when the Saints won the Super Bowl. Immediately after the game many people from the apartment complex went outside and we're cheering and what not. The guy in the adjacent apartment rolled out, pulled out his 9 mm and started lighting up the ground about 15 feet away from me. Scared the crap out of me.
