US 165 from interstate to interstate is a speed trap.
Georgetown will catch on the overpass

Georgetown and Robeline always has a cop sitting on both ends of town. I drive through Tullos a lot but never see a problem with speed traps

They obviously don’t consider Maurice a city

Doesn't Krotz Itch, have a Walmart distribution center?
That’s in Opelousas. Krotz springs isn’t on the list because they don’t rely on tickets as a main revenue source as the other towns.

Baskin finna eat on those Monroe tiger fans.

Since this is % based, Woodworth is growing, fast. So they have a much larger tax base now from when they lead the list.
Also, proud to see my hometown on the list, lol.

Baskin has been that way since at least the 70's, when I first started driving.

They’ve responded by pulling people over for even 1 mile over the limit. My daughter got a ticket for 78 in a 75 on that stretch and when we went to court to fight it there were several people with 76 in a 75 tickets.
Clearly they are hoping that most people just pay it rather than fight it which I suspect most do but they dismissed a few that day including my daughters.
What is the argument to get the dismissal? I may need it one day.
The argument was that she was not speeding and that the radar gun is not accurate enough to say she was. In Washington you attend Mayors court and the mayor asked my daughter about her grades at LSU. When she told him she had a 4.0 he said if you can prove that Ill dismiss the charge. She got her phone out and pulled up her grades to which the mayor replied “That’s a whole lotta A’s”. Charge dismissed.

I've never even heard of most of these towns in LA.
Henderson and Forest Hill are the only two I recognized.

I’m from Georgia and have never heard of our towns on there

I've gotten a ticket in Georgetown; not surprised. The speed limit changes abruptly from 65 to 45 at the bottom of a bridge where the police chief awaits to issue you a ticket. He always says the same thing, "if you mail it in within 30 days I will make sure it does not appear on your record." What a nice guy.
