How much you reckon they've stolen through CAF?

I drove through Port Barre saturday morning with an unregistered trailer and my lights went out right as i was getting in to town. I made it through without a road pirate stopping me though

Literally the only thing in Fenton is a grain elevator.

I had to look them up because I had no idea where most were. Tullos and Georgetown are only a few miles apart on Hwy 165 between Monroe & Alexandria.

Other towns nearby: Olla, Urania, Selma, and Mudville.

All of them are drivethru cities while enroute to better locales

That's every city in this state. I'm gonna need you to be more specific.

I've never even heard of most of these towns in LA.

Reminds me of career mode on NCAA 2014. You'd always get some random city in LA by default if you made your prospect from LA.

A 6' 3" QB from Arabi, LA, a 6' 5" DE from Lydia, LA, etc.

I got caught in Baskin a while back, maybe 10 - 12 years ago. Even then, the fine was right at $200. All of those small towns (Wisner, Sicily Island, Mangham, Winnsboro, etc.) on Highway 15 in North Louisiana LIVE to stop speeders and collect big fines to support their respective towns. If what I see on Highway 15 is any indication, speeding fines are about all they have; you couldn't feed a group of hummingbirds on the local sales and property tax these towns collect.

got a ticket in Fenton, didn't see the speed limit drop at the start of their trap

The officer had the nerve to say "slow it down for me sir" when I was looking at a sign right in front of me that said speed limit 65 - the speed i was clocked at on the ticket.

They’ve responded by pulling people over for even 1 mile over the limit. My daughter got a ticket for 78 in a 75 on that stretch and when we went to court to fight it there were several people with 76 in a 75 tickets.

Clearly they are hoping that most people just pay it rather than fight it which I suspect most do but they dismissed a few that day including my daughters.

Ticketed for one mile per hour over the limit? Are the radar guns even that accurate?

Sounds like a shakedown orchestrated by clowns with badges

What is the argument to get the dismissal? I may need it one day.

The new thing is for them to just lie on the ticket.

Say you were doing 76 in a 75. They'll just put down 79 with the idea that even if you fight it, you'll still admit to speeding.

This is so pathetic. The state is among the fattest, dumbest, and poorest while paying among the most for things like car insurance. All while tax dollars line pockets of some mayor's brother and the police forces lead the nation in revenue gained from speeding tickets.

The Louisiana government has found that sweet spot where your residents are mostly too fat, lazy, and stupid to know what's happening to them, and the productive members of society who do realize won't leave because "it's home" or "my family is here."
