What about Birmingham? Yeah you’re right

Burlington is nice. Full of trust fund communists, but it's pretty

Paris is so surprising in its ugliness versus perception that it causes tourists to have a psychological breakdown

That’s a good one. Jacksonville too.

Jacksonville SUCKS. But Jacksonville Beach is amazing. It’s like putting BR on an actual beach. Only locals, local food, small homey feel, etc. would move there in a heartbeat if not for my line of work.

Any "city" over 100K is ugly and no place for me. Cement jungles are the rectum of the planet

this is true - when I went there were Syrian refugees and drug addicts everywhere - it was very disappointing

As a whole, I agree. Don't get me wrong, I love to visit certain parts of a few cities, but even those cities are mostly ugly.

Quite the opposite. New Orleans has some beautiful areas. Very.

Ugly sides too. So does Seattle, Chicago, New York, London, Oslo, Tokyo, Vienna, Paris, Beijing, and Johannesburg. Singapore does not.

Wouldn't go as far as "areas." Maybe "spots."

When people think Denver I feel like their heads go to somewhere like Boulder or Golden, but actual downtown is just another concrete jungle with an excessive amount of homeless people. There are some cool places but overall, meh.

Ditto for St. Louis

St Louis is the worst. Went there for a conference that was scheduled before the Rams left and downtown started to shutter.

Aside from the area around the Cardinals ballpark, downtown was a ghost town after 5pm.

Los Angeles has to be the world #2 after Paris. Hollywood said it was a beach paradise, and you get a smoggy dirty city in a dingy brown desert

Went back in Winter of 2016 for work. No blues, rams, no cardinals, and the arch was closed for repairs. Needless to say, I did not really enjoy my 5 days there. Outside of meals on the Delmar Loop, not much else stood out.

Went to a conference downtown Kansas City. Absolutely desolate and totally without any redeeming qualities.
