Yeah, mine does. We commonly refer to our leader as Christ. Have you heard of him?

Boring. You need some NSFW Halloween ladies in your life.

A lot of the Catholic churches around me host trunk or treats...most on the weekend before Halloween if Oct 31 falls on a weeknight.

The churches that have "fall festival" type things are usually the weird non-denominational churches. I've known a few people over the years who belonged to churches like that. People who are at church 3-4 times a week and both parents and kids' circles of friends are almost all other members of the same church. Too cult-like for my liking.

At my church they recommend the kids taping the 99 theses to everyone's door in the neighborhood.

You find it strange that Christians would not be interested in celebrating a pagan holiday?

Churches have been trying to
Get rid of Halloween since it’s inception. You’re just old enough now to realize it.

I grew up living about 3 houses down from the pastor at the largest Baptist church in my hometown. He was always handing out candy on Halloween. He even decorated his house....Not the scary "evil" stuff, but he always had jack-o-lanterns and orange lights and probably even a plastic witch next to a pot of "brew". People back then were relaxed and busy with real issues and didn't make up shite to worry about.

But yeh, make a huge deal about the birth of Christ that conveniently isn't even celebrated at the right time of year.

My brother belongs to some super baptist church that oppose it. Sucks because their kids never get to dress up. Zero fun.

Look at the Lutheran getting all high and mighty because his church was founded on legit religious differences.

If you dont think Henry VIII getting some strange was a legit reason, then you can't drink my beer.

But does anyone here actually belong to a church that actively discourages Halloween participation?

Not only Halloween, but the church I grew up in discouraged participation in Christmas and Easter too

It was a blast...
