It’s just weird in Baton Rouge my oldest son is a big kid and when he steps foot into Catholic school in kindergarten, teachers are already asking if he’s going to play football. Weird football cult.

I would bet money that they have won more than two state championships in the past five years.
Let me search again, and I’ll post the winners from the last 5 years
2019 Rummel beat Catholic
2020 Catholic beat CE Byrd but title relinquished
2021 Catholic beat Jesuit
2022 John Curtis beat Brother Martin
2023 Catholic beat Acadiana

Indeed it is. I paid it for 10 years for the younger one (PK-8) and can't say I miss it

Assuming we’re talking football?
I don’t know much about Catholic besides spending a brief time there at night after Katrina, but some interesting takes in here about Brother Martin.
Especially from the Dominican grad. That place has its own problems

Catholic and Brother Martin are run by the same religious order so that’s the only reason I brought it up.
My brother went to holy cross so I don’t give a flip about any of this except to say Catholic isn’t as great as people think it is.
Should we even compare Catholic to Jesuit? I mean, Catholic might be the hick version of Jesuit.

Are you including all sports?
Also how many professional athletes BR Catholic schools vs NOLA Catholic schools?

I don't know why people care about where kids go to high school, as long as it's a decent learning environment and fairly safe.
I went to school with a serial killer, professional athletes, regionally renowned cancer surgeon, plenty of other people that became very successful, several that died from drug ODs and didn't do anything with their lives.
I suspect that has more to do with their home life and upbringing than the building where they took Algebra.

I just hate the elitist mentality of Catholic school in Baton Rouge. I mean it’s a Catholic school - in NOLA everyone went to Catholic school - nothing elite about it.
Growing up in the NOLA area, I found it weird too. I met people that thought going to Catholic was a big deal. I am like so what, I know a bunch of dipshits that went to Catholic schools in New Orleans

Agree but we got one guy in here who is doing his best to uphold the stuck up CHS stereotype. This guy needs to get out of BR, it helps humble all the people that think they’re hot shite. Catholic High is not the pinnacle of education, even in BR.

There are good and bad people everywhere and in every school. Home life matters most.
It was very easy to get the orange panties in a bunch, though.

I'm not sure anyone in BR knows what this means.

Dude, I’m from New Orleans, what do you expect?
Jeez, get a (bear) grip.

Why do Catholic grads think they are the best? Like congrats you went to an all boy school in fricking Baton Rouge. I’m from Nola and went to an all girl school and no one gives a frick since everyone goes to catholic school. But damn br people that go to St joes and Catholic think they are top notch and special.
