If we're getting technical there wasn't a manger/barn and there was room at the inn. Mary and Joseph were turned away for being Jewish and had to have the child in a cave in the side of a mountain. Now back to your dreidel shopping Seinfield.

If your talking about Wenceslaus the Idle. The song is not talking about King Wenceslaus IV. It's about his ancestor Saint Wenceslaus I (c. 907-929) also known as Václav the Good.

It wasn't a hotel/inn it was a guest house, so they stayed in the main room, where animals were brought inside at night.

Nope, it was Joseph's family's house, and Bethlehem is a Jewish city in Judea.

First time that I’ve heard that one.

Given what Mickelson and other biblical scholars report, Mary and Joseph likely did not stay at a traveler’s inn. They probably stayed at a family home since Joseph’s family was from Bethlehem.

Those all seem very speculative.

I learned last week that the Magi didn't visit Jesus while he was a newborn in the manger.

They showed up when JC was about 2 years old.

So much for all those nativity scenes in people's yards...

don't know about the timeline, but the Bible does state they meet him in a house

The story implies that it was in Bethlehem.

Maybe the star led them?

Scientist don't think it was a star that they saw. 2,000 years ago Saturn and Jupiter were in conjunction within the constellation of Pisces.

People don’t even realize that the Christmas season is 12 days (beginning Christmas Day) despite an entire song about it.
