Christmas Tree Farm Not Named Shady Ponds

I'm looking for a Christmas tree farm to cut a tree around St. Tammany. I was going to go to Shady Ponds but the owner was a prick. I asked via email if I needed to set an appointment to pick a tree or do I just need to show up. He told me appointments are needed and to go to the calendar section of the website for more info.
I go to the page and the calendar simply listed the days available to pick a tree but not how to set one up. I double checked to make sure I wasn't missing something. I email him and he said "geeze, do you need your eyes checked? I can direct you to a good eye doctor". Great customer service.

Not sure how far you'd travel but Grant Christmas Tree farm is pretty cool.

I'd recommend Shady Ponds, have had really good luck there
okay, that was my dick answer...but we've gone there for years for trees and never set up an appointment. I just looked at their website and it says by appointment? that must be new

He offered to help you with a recommendation for an eye doctor and you're cracking on him.
Can't you see this would make him see red?

Do you really think you should be swinging an axe around with kids in close proximity if you have eyesight problems?
I'm glad he shot you down, and I forwarded this to other Xmas tree farmers in the area.

I'd be willing to drive 50 miles in any direction.

Let your wife drive if you go before you get your eyes checked.

Steele's Christmas Tree Farm. In Washington Parish, not that bad of a drive from St. Tammany.

Their website is a little heavy on text. I'm no luddite and I cannot even find the calender
Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the home page. Some days are by appointment and some are open.

You should make an appointment to go out there and let him check your knuckles.
Keep in mind that your vision precludes you from checking his knuckles so you may carry an arse whipping and a Virginia pine home.
Good luck.

Actually it's not too early. They sell out on pretagging mid November. And yes the website shows the days but does not tell you how to reserve an appointment. I figured that was the purpose of my email but he directed me to the site for it.

And no way to actually set an appointment. I might have to send this guy an email tomorrow to ask how to make an appointment.
