Companies can give employees bonuses. I don’t need to tip an employee of a company a Christmas bonus.

Tipping treads always bring out the miserable curmudgeons.

I’ve never tipped any of the people you’ve mentioned ever.

it's ok, I'm a federal employee too so it's a double Jeopardy situation.

Do y'all have the same people every week? It seems I never see the same delivery driver, garbage guy, or mail carrier twice.

Funny we moved into a new neighborhood a few years ago and at the beginning of December a note was tagged to the community mailbox from the usps carrier stating how much he has enjoyed delivering to our neighborhood over the years and this would be his last holiday season as he was retiring aka give me a tip bro. Couldn’t believe he was fishing for money. This was a new neighborhood as well so pretty sure he was flat out lying.

No it's not. I'm a former mailman and we accepted gifts all the time. You aren't supposed to take any cash or a gift worth more than $20, but how am I supposed to know how much they paid for it? Most of the time people gave treats which was nice cause we often didn't have time to stop to eat during the busy holiday season. I do the same for my mailman.

I never see my garbage men. I do most of the work dragging it to the curb, so tip? Neh.

Mail person - Neh

The only person I Christmas gift outside of family is my barber who I see 26 times a year every year. That's $50.00

Technically yes, but in practice the post office asks that holiday tips not exceed $20

Only people I would give is Christmas bonus to, and we do 1 extra payment. Maid comes every two weeks, so the first time cleaning in December we pay her double.

Same, we give our cleaning lady an extra payment in December for Xmas. My lawn guy is done by this time of the year, so I don't tip him. Never have tipped the garage guys, mailman, UPS driver, etc.

Same here, I couldn't identify any of those people if I wanted to. I hear friends and co workers talk about their awesome FedEx or UPS guy sometimes, so I guess it's possible to develop a routine and get to know them. But on the off chance I see one of those drivers, it's always someone different than the last person
