Can the FAA overrule the military

No, the FAA has nothing to do with military (public use) aircraft. The army maybe investigating but the FAA isn't.

We use to fly a TERF route through down town Los Angeles through the buildings, navigating off street signs and a road map. Then we would land on the LAPD helicopter pads and head back home.

Then we should ban them in every state except California

I still think the plane flyover at Bama in 2005 was the most WTF.

Maybe that was low in real life, but that video is obviously edited/photoshopped.

I t least 300 feet above the cable probably closer to 750 cause it was probably 250 feet from high point of stadium. Wouldn't surprise me if choppers flew 500 above stadium.

No, they were at stadium level or pretty darn close. I was there in the far upper NW corner.

What’s a good free service to post pictures? I have some of the flyover.

I was at the 2002 fall race in Charlotte, NC. It was an overcast/rainy day with a low ceiling. The fly over that day was a B-52. The ceiling was so low the pilot had the plane at the level of the turn 1 condos and tallest grand stands on the front stretch.

There's video of it, but the camera angles don't show how low he actually was....

I was at the Orange Bowl in 2008 in the upper deck and the flyover was so low that I could smell the jet exhaust.

As a Titans fan, I’m choosing to believe that this incident somehow stressed out Ryan Tannehill which is what led him throwing 4 interceptions AGAINST THE frickING TEXANS.

Chopper flyover was vs. New Orleans.

I was in the upper deck. Those planes looked like they were flying just over the top of the stadium. It was awesome.

I was sitting in the endzone when they flew over. It was awesome but man they were low.

One O worst (101st)

Took controls - pulled rank to be PIC even though he has flown the minimum hours for years to maintain flight status.

His rank allowed him to command the aircraft and make bad decisions and will also protect him from any discipline.

I agree, the risk of large scale death is too great--all stadiums need to have a capacity limit of 350 people to prevent such a catastrophe--if this saves only one life, it's worth it.
