Yes, China provides various forms of aid to Zimbabwe, including humanitarian assistance, loans for major infrastructure projects, debt relief, and military support. The two countries have maintained a strong relationship, with Zimbabwe receiving Chinese aid, investment, and diplomatic backing for decades, particularly since Western nations imposed sanctions in the early 2000s.
And China is quickly finding out why setting up billions and billions in equipment and having it maintained by these countries is much harder than it appears lolllllll. Something we Americans are way way ahead of them on.
In many cases the Chinese come back to find their manufacturing hubs non operational or stripped down completely. It was fine when they left it.
Good luck China

How long before this one falls down?

China has people working 2x as hard as spoiled americans. When an entire country is busting their arse 12hrs a day, its not hard to believe they would would start to pull away from a country that has become complacent and values "work-life-balance".

More than that but they are practically slave labor so it's either work like crazy or starve to death. I guess you are ok with that as long as you can buy another Onn TV for $200...

heir single child policy was way, way too successful

I didn't say it was noble or just.
When you have one country busting arse ( for whatever reason) and another similar country trying to figure out how to retire early on a 4x workweek, the results will not be the same.

Where in America, would you build the world's tallest bridge?
The most cost effective place to do it to beat the Chinese 2,050 feet would probably be:
quote:
The Black Canyon of the Gunnison has a maximum depth of 2,722 feet at Warner Point
If money is no object then at Hell's Canyon on the Snake River. It has a depth of up to 7,993 feet, but the bridge would have to be at least 10 miles long and would be outrageously expensive if it is even possible.

I went down this very rabbit hole before and for their population to grow at that rate or even stay stagnate it would require all urban families to have 1.5 babies (if the eldest is a girl the CCP allowed for them to have a seconded to try and have a son) and for every rural family (exempt from the mandate) to have 8 children. Even to stay stagnate they would need 1 child per urban family and nearly 5 per rural family. For population to be stagnate couples need to average 2 children (1 to replace mom and 1 to replace dad), China has had a birth rate at or around 1 for three decades. The population cannot grow at that rate, not to mention explode to their proclaimed numbers.

Look how fast the cars are moving in the second video. Looks suspicious...
