This is an article from 2017. India's intelligence agency issued a warning that listed 42 apps that might be a risk to their national security.
I wish that a US app maker would build an app that would automatically clean your phone of any type of app from China.

Downloaded Wechat for a trip to China last summer and my iPhone never recovered after the trip. It ran slowly, would do weird shut downs etc. it was definitely tainted.
FWIW, you basically have to have WeChat to survive there. It’s used to pay for food, order taxi, check in at hotel, make calls and more.

This will be an unpopular opinion but I think we need to link up with the Russians to set up an economic/military/espionage alliance against China. The Russians aren’t a friend, but they aren’t what they once were. They aren’t aiming for any sort of global domination, unlike the Chinese. The enemy of my enemy is my friend right?
