The Wuhan Institute of Virology was listed as one of the Chinese Academy of Sciences candidates for the 2021 Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Prize released Friday.
CAS, the national academy for the natural sciences of the People's Republic of China, awards 10 such individuals and research groups every year.
The Global Times reported that the lab was selected for carrying out "pathogen identification after the outbreak of COVID-19," for completing "the entire virus genome sequencing and virus isolation within a short time," for confirming that the "COVID-19 virus shares the same functional receptor as the SARS virus," for systematically analyzing "the basic biological characteristics of the virus," and for revealing that the "coronavirus carried by bats may be the evolutionary ancestor of the COVID-19 coronavirus."

Why wouldn’t be from the CCP’s perspective. They are in the process of having a major issue with their elderly population. Back in the day 4-8 grandparents would be taken care of by 20 people. Now with China’s former One Child Policy Millennials are expected to take care of the same number of grandparents, but now there are only 4 members of the family to do the same amount of work. Millennials over there are rightfully pissed about this, so what better could happen to the CCP than a plague that kills old people but spares the young and healthy?

I get it from the CCP perspective. The Wuhan lab proved its case that it can attack the world and make it all the way to the President of the United States and other world leaders.
They just didn't get the potency right on this go round. I'm sure they are hard at work to make something stronger.

I guarantee they have hundreds of viruses in that lab that are both more contagious and more deadly than Covid. It is Jurassic Park times a million. Gain of Function research and 3D printing viruses has to be made 100% illegal worldwide and doing either is an act of war. We are flirting with the apocalypse here, and all it takes is a few years from now one genocidal lunatic gets the genome to a very deadly virus, 3D prints it, infects himself, and then spreads it throughout the public. All of these gain of function labs should be burnt to the ground and the viruses should be frozen somewhere secret in Alaska.
