Are they actually sold, to a real buyer, and revenue reflected per IFRS?
Presume, “faking sales” means reflecting revenue when should not be. Otherwise, Not clear what is so wrong here.

If a dealership goes out of business and the cars on the lot are sold off to another dealer, they have to be listed as used because they were already sold once. Mileage has nothing to do with used or not used.
Or last year's model which is when I bought a 1980 Cutlass Brougham 1981. Best phucking car I ever owned. Every time I changed the oil it looked like it had just come out of the can even after 10,000 miles from last change. Small V8 fo those days, 4.3. Unfortunately when negotiating the price my now ex wife said that the color matched her purse. I had gotten it down but feel certain he could have knocked at least a few more hundred off the price.

Didn't Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth get in trouble in the early 90s for rolling back mileage on cars they provided to execs and selling them as new? I think there were even some that were wrecked, repaired, rolled back and sold as new.
Pretty sure they did. Pretty sure we ended up with one. Absolutely positive we will never buy another of their products.

There's no way that's true.
I bought a car in this exact scenario. It was never owned by a customer only a dealer to dealer sale.

Yeah actually it does. "Beating" Tesla is major gunaxi ("face") in China, not to mention global PR for a brand with global ambitions. They may also be selling carbon credits on the international markets in some way,

I think this can only be done when an insurance claim has been made on a car that was sitting on the lot. It hasn't been driven but since there was an insurance incident it can't be sold as new. Hail damage is very common for this.
TYVM. Never even considered that

A lot of cars are put in service by a dealership as part of their rental fleet. Once they are rotated out, they are still sold as new with a few thousand miles on em and a good discount. The MSO was never put in a customers name, so still a new car.
