I mean. I'm a white person born and raised in Louisiana who has seen a ton of subtle and not so subtle racism, and still see plenty of it today.

I have never, ever seen someone just sitting at a table in puclic openly calling a table of random black folks the n-word Like.. dude could have thought up a more convincing story than that. Even your most racist white people aren't doing that shite.

Nor have I and i've been here 54 years. Show me proof or I am suspect of this actually happening. Were there no other black people in there that heard this and not speak up? From what i've seen black folk get pretty rowdy when this kind of thing happens and for good reason.

He and everyone that agrees with him and believes him should DEFINITELY stop going to chimes. Especially chimes East.

And especially on Thursdays when they have their oyster specials

I walked out of the one in Covington because they had Fox news on the TV. I won't eat anywhere that spreads lies like that. Sorry that happened to you.

My goodness, I do not understand how these people function as adults in the real world
Participation trophies really fricked up a bunch of kids & turned them into adults that can’t function in normal society

You don't need to go under before you reach the point that you lose enough money in the short term that you start lopping off the heads of anyone responsible in hopes that it stops the bleeding. No one likes losing out on profit.

The thing that people that spend good money and leave good tips don’t like about chimes is the trash that comes in and ruins it for everyone else.

If less mouthy trash is there, more people will come to make up the difference.

Getting rid of garbage clients in favor of people that tip better and don’t complain about everything AFTER they have eaten it is a positive, not a negative

But I'm telling you that there are well connected people in town who are going to take him at his word unless proven otherwise.

His twitter feed is full of sympathetic posts. Imagine being so soft that you won’t go to a restaurant any longer because someone you hardly know claims this incident happened.

North Louisiana? Sure.

South Louisiana? Somebody would have slapped that boy in the mouth.

Wouldn't happen in North Louisiana either.

In this country white folk are scared $hitless of black folk for reasons that are much too complex to explain in this thread, and black folk sense it and will act upon it when ever they feel it is necessary.

In my 13 years of working in the merchant marine, and in particular in Eastern European countries, I've seen black sailors called the N-word or some variation thereof, more times than I care to remember, and then getting the f*ck knocked out of them whenever they dared to protest about it.

It got to where they would not even leave the ship when we docked in places like Odessa and Balkan ports.

Reacting to racial disrespect is 5% righteous indignation, and 95% reading the room. Nothing more, nothing less.

I was reading his tweets. He is obviously ultra left and anyone, whether its the left or the right, who have ultra views usually doesn't see reality.

This is just based on what he tweets, but it comes off as a bit of a gas lighter... I guess we are doing exactly what he wants to see... People talking about his situation... Because he wants the world to know how exhausting it is to be black..

Same way Jussie knew they were white, MAGA hat wearing Trump supporters.

When you write the character, you can make them be anything you want them to be.

In this day and age of cell phone videos, and knowing how much people like this like to use them, you are telling me not a single one of them got a video, or so much as even a blurry potato phone pic?

This is the answer right here.

The restaurant suggesting a scene was caused. Even if our boy is telling the truth, you’d be able to see the ‘white LSU student’ causing a problem. You would assume this incident would have lasted enough time for someone to pull out a phone. Nobody at his table even got a picture of the kid? What about people at nearby tables?
