the main concern of the judge is that the kids' life doesn't change whatsoever. so......for her to move to Mississippi will be a very tough sell to the judge if you guys are 50/50 custody.

Wow at most of the other answers in this thread besides yours.
Only thing I'd add is she would still have to pay her % they set for medical insurance and other bills. School supplies, dr visits and things not everyday are considered additional. Some things like expenses for sports have to be agreed upon for her to pay her % on those.
All of the decisions depend on your location and your judge, at least in my experience with my dealings. Thankfully I'm past all of this now.

I would be worried about seeing my kids not child support
You need a good attorney not the OT!

OP, who was given the status of "primary custodian"?
If she has it, you run the risk of her taking the kid to MS w her.
I'm surprised she's not paying you support already. Even w 50/50 and paying all of the health/dental/eye care, the state says I still have to pay my ex wife $200/month for "income equity".

If she is talking about moving your kid to another state then why do you think she might go for just seeing him on weekends while you have custody?
ETA: Of course, we need pics of the baby momma.

These two things don't equal in my mind.
If she wants to move the kid to MS, common sense and a map says she's going to have the kid in her possession more than 50/50, especially when school is in session.
I don't even understand how if you kept the kid in Covington, she would get the kid one day per week unless that day is on the weekend, because again school. Everyone I know in this situation that rotates the kid during the school week live in the same general area.
I hope you get a good judge. Too many out there will just let the mother do whatever she wants, especailly since she makes more money than you.
Oh... and are you single/remarried/dating someone? Not sure if that will effect anything.

Google Louisiana Relocation Statute and hire an attorney.

She can't move out of sate.
She can legally move 75 miles from where she resides now if she gets custody. I just got custody from my ex but she was a whack job. If your ex wife is half way normal, odds are stacked against you.
Good luck

Ovo absolutely not true. If she moves and you keep your child there is a formula to which she would pay child support. Also, I'm guessing there is a non move clause in your settlement.

Tell her to move, agree to about $350-400 of support. If she's truly ready to move on, she'll take it and sign visitation agreement.
Let her go
Let her go

If you have a good lawyer and don't lay down for this woman, she probably won't be allowed to uproot your kid.
And you should have had it written into the judgement that neither can move more than X amount of miles away with the child.

First, the kid ain't going anywhere if you don't want that.
Second, if you have had 50 50 custody for a while, if she leaves, you will get custody and be domicillary parent.
Third, yes your proposed schedule for her is about right.
As for the money, just dial up the support tables. I think there is a version online. The court is going to operate straight from that unless yall decide otherwise
This is the best answer to your question.
