I would bet he has automatic cert renewal in place. Its just better to reduce the administrative burden.

After taking a look, the certificate is good until 1/31/2026.

Cert likely refers to SSL certificate. That's what keeps this a https site. Https means the web traffic from this site is secure (encrypted). The domain name (tigerdroppings.com) is something entirely different and won't be up for sale (unless Chicken doesn't have auto-billing enabled for the domain renewal).

I've been trying to buy back Dawgrant for years and you won't let it go. You aren't even using it.
