Yeah I get it. We can have a discussion on justifying how the intolerance is projected. Whether you "Merica" a bunch of beer cases or scream "Woke"....The same principle. Just live your damn lives.

Besides who your dad is, the other things you listed actually do play a role in the most qualified candidate equation.

You act like that hasn't been true for all of human existence.

Much better to teach your kids that life isnt fair and to do their best than to try to teach them they need to change the world.

So, we should continue to create more scenarios in which the world isn't fair?

Rather than attempting to make a "fair" scenario in which merit is used for consideration, we should create another "unfair" scenario where something that no one is in control of should be used...

Need transgender employment statistics.

We spend a lot of time on a group of folks whos work involves trying to get attention. Its so pathetic.

Blackrock, Vanguard and international bankers think they own us. We haven't yet given them a reason to think otherwise.

CFA is uniquely positioned though, like it or not. It's socially acceptable fast food for the suburban family crowd throughout the country.

I guarantee you nobody is walking into my law firm office with a Popeyes bag. Suburban moms probably don't openly admit to feeding their kids Wendy's for dinner.

This is something that I simply can’t relate to. Not saying that you’re wrong.

Well ok then. That's the perfect reason to codify race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation as conditions for hiring.

Just let it ride, right bro? You got yours, so frick everyone else right?

So you're ok with preference given to race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation?

I am ok with the job going to best candidate. If the candidate happens to be the same color or sex every single time because they are the most qualified, so be it.

It isnt about if you are ok with it or not, it's the way the world works.

If I'm not okay with banks fricking up the economy should I just not go to work, sit in the streets and scream at the sky that it's wrong?

You act like you're gonna teach your child how to change the world when you should be teaching them how to survive in the world.

This is a pretty disheartening statement. You can still to teach a child the ways of the world while stressing the importance of integrity.

If you wanna give your kid a reason to call himself a victim because he has a 20% lower chance of getting an executive position at chick-fil-a that's your right as a father.

Seems everybody is a victim these days so he'll fit right in.

Maybe we just want to teach our kids that it's not right to treat someone differently based upon their gender or race

You can do that without pointing out DEI and ECG initiatives

My parents instilled that in me pretty well without bringing politics into it

I've never heard of anyone arguing against DEI refer to themselves as a "victim". They may feel frustrated, but it doesn't mean they feel victimized.

how'd they manage that?

"treat others how you want to be treated"
"others will not treat you how they would want to be treated"
"that's life. life's not fair."

TIL Corinthians420 supported Jim Crow, apartheid and slavery

420 to Rosa: "Shut up and get in the back of the bus."

420 to Mandela: "Nelson, fugghedaboutit."
