Chicago's problem can be identified in two words "HISTORY CLASS"

History classes lead to "white privilege" which lead to discrimination which means we need to cancel all history classes until we can come up with a suitable alternative.

State Rep. La Shawn Ford (D-Chicago) announced a bill to do just that during a press conference Sunday following a meeting with local education leaders in Evanston. He said his bill is meant to address concerns that “current school history teachings lead to white privilege and a racist society.”
The seven-term lawmaker and former Chicago mayoral candidate told reporters:
“When it comes to teaching history in Illinois, we need to end the miseducation of Illinoisans. I’m calling on the Illinois State Board of Education and local school districts to take immediate action by removing current history books and curriculum practices that unfairly communicate our history.
“Until a suitable alternative is developed, we should instead devote greater attention toward civics and ensuring students understand our democratic processes and how they can be involved. I’m also alarmed that people continue to display symbols of hate, such as the recent display of the Confederate flag in Evanston.”
Ford is a former teacher in the Chicago Public School system, and remains certified as an educator. He’s also a licenses real estate broker and insurance agent. His district comprises parts of western Chicago and the suburbs of Oak Park, Berwyn, Riverside, and La Grange."

Any idea when we'll be able to get to Mars? At this point I'd take a one way trip tbh

Well, those aren’t the two words I’d use...

He is 100% right about this part. Of course, a good Civics class is based in the history of our country and all those old white dudes that established the USofA. But he is still largely correct. They also need to teach these little frickers some conflict resolution. Apparently their parents aren't telling them that pulling out a pistol and shooting someone is the INcorrect way to resolve a verbal altercation or someone stepping on your shoes accidentally.

Why not make everyone else leave?
They can build fresh there.

Just an innocent opinion from another public school teacher

"equity/inclusion work" i.e. indoctrination
Posted on 8/10/20 at 1:15 pm to upgrayedd
What will we do when parents learn about our indoctrination efforts?

Call me stupid but I have no clue what he even means in that tweet. I guessed he was saying white people will more likely have someone home with them while virtual schooling so because of that it is not equal to the black kids who have to be alone...because racism makes their mom work.

Curriculum is set by mostly white school board members who conveniently ignore things like the Blacks murdered in the Tulsa Riots. Decision like this sweep racism under the rug and effectively perpetuate it.

He's saying that the kids need to feel like they're in a safe space to learn and that having their parents near by means they can't be free to express themselves.
What he really means is that if parents find out about the fricked up stuff teachers are teaching their kids then there's going to be a huge backlash.

Remember when Libturds used to slap "Co-exist" bumper stickers on their Prius?
I wonder what happened to that sentiment?
