aybe foreseeable and one may even "understand" it. But lawful and without consequences? No. Just as would not be lawful for an inner city impoverished teen who has witnessed lord knows what in his "hood" from the time he could walk and gives in to criminal behavior or gang banging. Understandable? Yes. Lawful and without consequences? No.

Yeah.
It's kinda like when Chris Rock did his riff on OJ. It's not right what he did....but I understand.

Why is it always about white cops shooting black people with you?

Who is committing most of the violent crime in our country?

If you saw a black teen running from the police what would be your first thought?

Please show me where I excused his behavior? Do it. You won't find it. Because I don't excuse criminal behavior. in the general population OR the police. There are two not so fine upstanding people here, the teen and cop.

You see you make the mistake than many morons have before. When one calls out a cop for abuse or seemingly criminal behavior, many incorrectly assume the person is pro-criminal or excusing the criminal's behavior. Fact is, one can be against criminals in the general population and criminals on the police force simultaneously. But you go ahead and keep on lickin' buddy.

No. I am against cops shooting people or abuse of any race unjustly. ANd I have commented as such.

Violent crimes in numbers are equal. Rates higher in blacks. Vast majority of blacks are law abiding and not violent.

The same thought I would have if a white teen was running. That he or she did something unlawful. Not that he or she was a danger to the cops or on his way to kill someone. In fact, I would think he is less likely to kill someone since the cops are on his tail.

Well your threads are usually about black teens shot by white police.

Can you name any city in the country where there is a white violent crime problem?

Race doesn't matter to me but if I saw anyone running from the police I think they just broke the law...last thing I think is they must be scared and didn't do anything.

I don't see running as a reason to kill anyone. I'm sure some do....

Obviously it does.

I always have acknowledged that violent crime is more of a problem in the black population while also reminding folks who generalize that the vast majority of blacks are law abiding and non-violent.

Wrong. This may be my first or second one. They are usually started by others. You just notice me more because I oft call the masses out or disagree with the views of many on race. ANd you may have made false assumptions based on that.

Thank you for this reply. I have previously thought you were just racist. I understand your position. I come from a very "Southern" upbringing (read, racist) and I disagree with many of their blanket views. Imagine my surprise when my father sided with some of these black teens because in his mind, a police state is far worse than petty criminals, regardless of race.

Tangerine has a bad rep on here...some of it is certainly deserved IMO, but his posts are usually tossed aside immediately, but I don't see much you can disagreeing with him over in this thread.

When is this fact uncovered? Before or after he committed crimes and fled from police?

Police should probably figure that out before shooting someone.

I'm sure as heck this isn't easy for a cop, but it's also no excuse when we're talking about taking a life.

So you're good with cops, who don't always have the best track records, getting to decide who lives and dies on a whim.

Good luck with that!!!

Right, obviously.

Cop also should not have shot him.

The 2 aren't mutually exclusive.
