So tired of all this sympathetic ignorance of people. Don't run from the frickin cops!

Show us one post where the teens behavior was excused.

You see, you make the same mistake that many others make. If a person calls out a cop for shooting an unarmed teen in the back from from 100 feet away, who is running away at full speed, some incorrectly assume that one is pro criminal or a criminal sympathizer. I will say it again. People can be against criminal behavior in the general population and also against criminal behavior in the police. They are not mutually exclusive.

Rather have cop than thug. Looks like a win win to me.

I have seen some posters mention petty crimes...do people think carjacking is a petty crime? If so they are morons.

I better pull out my phone and film this black guy's death (in landscape mode, of course)

The amount of people on this site that believe it is OK to kill someone for fleeing when they are unarmed and not a threat to anyone is appalling. Seriously appalling.

so if they are armed its ok?

how can you tell if someone isn't a threat...like in this instance when the 'victim" was a carjacking suspect? I guess someone who puts a gun in peoples faces to steal their car isn't a threat

what does that have to do with trying to apprehend a suspect? are you suggesting if they run we should let them go instead of trying to catch them and put them on trial?

If someone is running away from you, they are not to be shot in the back. I have a hard time understand how that is debatable.

if a guy is running away with a gun in hand and has already committed murder/violent crime you would not deem him a threat to others? its only ok to shoot them in the chest?

So you're saying Chicago is a shithole with corrupt police and thug residents.

Congrats, water is wet and man has landed on the moon, FYI.

It doesn't really matter what I think. It's black and white. Every citizen has the right to a fair trial no matter how big of a piece of shite they are. I would like to shoot kiddie diddlers on sight but they have the same right to due process as everyone else. Those rights are there to protect the innocent.

Suspect or not, that guy was not shooting innocent bystanders, he was fleeing from a cop. Just a cop, not a judge. He didn't escape custody nor was he brandishing a gun. He was just running. The cop did not even witness the crime take place so he didn't even know for sure if he had the right dude, that is why we have a court system. What if he shot the wrong guy? It's certainly possible.

Let's also not ignore the blatant disregard for public safety by sending rounds down a busy street at a moving target. I understand his need to channel is inner special operator but his tens of hours at the shooting range does not prepare him to make that shot safely. He should be terminated on that alone.
