Exactly.

If you are running, you are guilty.

Should he die? No, but better him than a cop or an innocent bystander

No surprise there. Imagine is the same standards applied to all of us. Our GPA's would have been awesome if we could have graded our own tests. I could have justified running that red light a few years ago as well.

When cops pull me over im the most submissive bitch on the planet, even though i served in the military, have a masters degree, and make 3 times as much money as they do. I hand them my insurance and every piece of identification I have and respond with "sir" every time and all goes smooths. Why jump around and act foolish? You're not winning any support by playing the victims card OP.

I kind of just don't care anymore when fleeing criminals get shot. I know it's wrong and I'll get blasted here. Whatever.

Well you are intelligent. Unfortunately many on here are total dumbasses and will call you a bootlicker for those comments.

Don't start no shite, there won't be no shite, right? I am not a fan of police but I respect their ability to kill me. Respect, whether deserved or not, should be given to a person with a gun. You put a gun to my head and demand my money? Most likely I obey. Because bowing up isn't worth my life. Sometimes you forego your principles in the name of perseverance. It might suck, but that is reality. And these kids are just young and dumb. Streets taught them the ways of life...and death.

No one will criticize him for saying he would comply. Criticism comes from killing unarmed people

People on here that say you comply are called bootlickers all the time. Some believe complying shows weakness. I guess they are too dumb to use common sense...most people who get shot by police are not complying.

I don't disagree with this. I am anti-criminal and anti police criminal and police abuse. Since they investigated and found themselves justified, I only hope the city pays out the arse. And they will. Parents should also shoulder partial blame for fostering such behavior. Even the judicial system, if this guy had a record and was let loose again and again.

No. It's the people who use the comply or die mindset. You know, the ones who say that noncompliance is justification for shooting

The only people justifying this act and blaming it on some supposed "guilt" of this person probably have a couple of things in common:

1.(The Biggest One) They have never experienced abject poverty or wide-spread discrimination because,
2. they are white or have had money.

Has a cop ever come up to your car screaming with their guns drawn? Wouldn't that kind of make you feel flighty? Just imagine that for a second, not because it reflects what happened in Chicago, but just try to imagine how that would feel.

A cop comes up to you asking questions forcefully and the situation escalates, and he pulls a fricking gun on you. You're thinking, "woah! how did this situation get here?" "Maybe this dude's gonna just shoot me because he has a chip on his shoulder." " He had a bad day."

The cops really have no accountability for what's going on right now and what's been going for hundreds of years. Don't act like we weren't in the racial dark ages just 60 years ago. I bet you have at least one family member who still uses "****" with hate.

It's not justification for the shooting. Common sense tells you getting shot is a possibility when you don't comply.

Indeed. But there are a select few who use it as justification. And those are the ones who are true

These "kids" have no respect for authority and it shows in school and everyday life. They feel like they don't have to answer to anyone.

Then they are shocked and appalled when some consequences to their actions come their way.

Thank you for this reply. I have previously thought you were just racist. I understand your position. I come from a very "Southern" upbringing (read, racist) and I disagree with many of their blanket views. Imagine my surprise when my father sided with some of these black teens because in his mind, a police state is far worse than petty criminals, regardless of race.
