Agree. Pick up a food box and done. Or shop from a list akin to WIC. No ebt, lobster, junk food, free internet, free cell phones, etc.

So what is the government going to do when people come and shoplift the frick out of these stores?
Tax the middle class more to pay for it.

Did he sue them because people stole from their stores?
Are you asking if Walmart is suing shoplifters? I can tell you they’ve done that in the past and maybe still do it, but I can also tell you suing ghetto criminals is throwing good money after bad.

What do you want him to do if local DAs aren't going to prosecute it and police won't come when called?
I guess store security could just start shooting them, but that would not be well received, although it would probably put an end to it.

I mean I understood the value prop to having the local community grocers get to profit from the transaction but with theft and destitution in many of these markets killing off food access altogether it’s a liquor/convenience store or nothing so I agree just let them show up at a distribution center to reduce costs and theft and move on.
Right. When you conisder how much money Walmart, etc makes off of food stamp purchases, for them to shut down stores in those areas, just tells you how bad the theft problem must be.

It is also working in modern day Russia. So why wouldn't it work in Chicago?
Have you ever met any Russian people?
Yes. I have been to Russia several times and have friends in Moscow and St. Petersburg. My post was a joke about Chicago being full of commies but apparently that went over yall's head(s).

Just imagine how awesome everything would be if government run... Everyone loves dealing with the DMV, amirite?
Imagine stores that combine the inefficiency of any state’s DMV and the surliness of the TSA.
